Borwick Hall
A manor house with six hundred years of history, and a Grey Lady seen by guests who had never heard of her.
The history
Borwick Hall grew out of a 14th-century pele tower into the Elizabethan manor that stands today. Six centuries of families, servants and guests have lived and died inside it.
The best-known story is the Grey Lady, reported by visitors across generations. Others describe children's laughter in empty corridors and banging through the night.
