This Privacy Policy applies to the Ghost Hunter Android application ("the App"), developed and published by Ghost Haunt UK.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information.

2. DEVICE PERMISSIONS

The App requests the following permissions solely to provide its core features:

Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — used only for the EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recorder. Audio is recorded and saved locally to your device only. No audio is uploaded, streamed, or transmitted anywhere.
Camera — used only for the SLS camera feature, which analyses the live camera feed on-device using Google ML Kit pose detection. No images or video are stored or transmitted.
Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) — used only to tag the approximate location of a paranormal investigation session. Location data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server.
Internet (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — used only to fetch the upcoming investigations news feed from a public GitHub repository. No personal data is sent during this request.

3. DATA STORAGE

All data generated by the App (EVP recordings, session logs) is stored exclusively in your device's local storage, under the App's private files directory. This data remains on your device and is under your full control. You can delete it at any time through the App or by uninstalling the App.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App uses the following third-party libraries:

Google ML Kit (Pose Detection) — runs entirely on-device. No data is sent to Google servers. See Google ML Kit Terms.
GitHub (news feed) — the App makes read-only HTTP requests to a public GitHub repository to retrieve investigation news. Your IP address may be visible to GitHub as part of a normal HTTPS request, consistent with GitHub's standard Privacy Statement.

5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

6. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
