Castle Street Police Station
A Victorian police station with a century and a half of arrests, interrogations and nights spent in the cells.
The history
For more than 150 years this station processed the people Bolton arrested: drunks, thieves, the violent and the desperate. The cells saw deaths in custody; the corridors saw the officers who had to deal with them.
Shadow figures on the upper balcony and voices in the cell block have been reported by staff and visitors for decades. It is the location Ghost Haunt UK keeps coming back to.
